We followed the advice of other TripAdvisor members and went up to the lounge for a bite instead of taking the tour. We had a limited amount of time, so we thought we would combine a late lunch while we took in the view. It was a mistake. The lounge has some of the worst service that I have ever... more

Great views from all four sides of the 94th floor. The guided audio tour narrated by David Schwimmer added a lot to the experience. We went on a Friday in August in the mid-afternoon and the wait for the elevator was not bad at all. more

great view, very good audio options! We were lucky and came on a day with very few people, made it a great view and easy to see all we wanted. more

Our hotel was right across the street from this. This was the first place we went to. We seen an incredible view of the city. We went up during the daytime and again at nightime. It was great both times. Very much worth the visit. more

If you're looking for a great way to check out the city from above, I would recommend the views from the John Hancock Center. Great views of Lake Michigan/Navy Pier, Wrigley Field & the North side of the city, as well as the Willis (Sears) Tower & the Trump tower. It also probably helps that we went on a clear... more

We stayed in Chicago for one night only so this was the only thing was had planned. We were not disappointed! We didn't go up until the evening so the place was dead. A great audio tour with David Schwimmer - very informative! The views were fantastic, I wasn't too impressed with the Sky Walk. They did try to sell... more

The observatory opens at 9:00 a.m. and were were there when it opend and walked right through. There was no line and when we got to the top there were only a few other people up there. We stayed up there for about 45 minutes and by the time we were ready to leave, there were a ton of people... more

We decided to forgo the $12 ride to the Observatory and opted for free ride to the 96th floor and brought $5 Norwegian mineral water since we're not drinkers. We were there after 9 pm on a Thursday night with virtually no elevator line on either end. Don't how it looks from the observatory level but the view, as others... more

The tour itself is not that amazing instead go to the lounge on the 96th floor and grab drinks/appetizers that way you can relax and enjoy the spectacular view. The best view of Chicago is in the Ladies' Restroom on the 96th floor (sorry guys) more
