This park is insane during the floating season on the Boise river, but wait and go in the fall and you'll have the entire park to yourself with no one to both you and great views of the river.

We specifically went to barber park as our put in point to raft the Boise. This is one of the Boise attractions I enjoyed most. The river is clear and cold. The aren't any rapids, just three diversion dams, so if you have kids, it would be a great ride(just be sure an adult is with younger kids to manage... More

If you are looking to have a little fun on the water, Barber Park is the place to begin. This is the main put-in area for people looking to float the Boise River. Epley's River Rentals has a building set up where you can rent inner tubes, rafts and other stuff as well as bathrooms/changing rooms and air for filling... More

Most locals go to Barber Park to float the river. The rest of the year (10 months) it is almost always empty. Love the location on the river and picnic tables. Greenbelt bike path goes through the park and the covered pavilion with tables is a nice rest stop.

Gateway to your river floats and great access to the greenbelt. Lots of space for your family to picnic and explore the edge of nature right in Boise.

Barber is one of the gems of the City of Trees. You'll see what I mean when you show up to a crowd of 150 people waiting to cool off in the Boise River. Its crowded sure, but once you get on the river, the crowds dissipate and the fun begins. The average float trip takes about 1-2 hours depending... More

We like to ride our motorcycle over then walk around visit shops especially the candy store and have pizza. Lovely way to spend a few hours don't forget to check out the river and stop in at Lucky 13 for a brew.

This is designed to start your Boise river float from. You can bring your own tube, raft, etc. or rent one from the main office. The parking fee is, I believe, $6 but you can drop people off for free. Also, free air is provided to air up your floatation device and steps down to the river. The float to... More

This is a recently renovated facility for Ada County. They did a fantastic job. There's tons of parking, air stations and you don't ever get the feeling that you cannot leave your vehicle there.
