We love walking the greenbelt as it holds a special place for us, my husband asked me to marry him along the greenbelt on a park bench after enjoying a fancy dinner.

Peaceful area to walk or read a book. Right in the middle of town. Places for kids to play and explore. Benches to sit around for lunch. Biking and roller blading accessible. This pathway leads through most of central Boise. Can get to seveal areas of town from here, (east / west direction).
You can ride for days and not cover all of the bike trails in Boise. The trail goes all the way from Lucky Peak Reservoir to Eagle (except for a small portion controlled by some snobs in Garden City). I love walking and biking along the river, exploring the parks and museums along the way. It's so nice to see people enjoying themselves floating along the river, or having picnics in the parks.
We loved the wide biking trail right in the heart of Boise. Yet from the trail who would know they were in a major city, The foliage is lush and green. You are biking right along the river, through the trees, up and down the small hills. It is so fun and convenient.
It is a very beautiful path along the Boise River. When we were there there was a bicycle event and a running race.
Numerous trails, beautiful river, parks, picnic areas and the zoo close by. We take grandkids there frequently! Frequent bands, festivals, ect!

The Riverside hotel backs right up to the green belt so of course we went for a walk. What a treasure! A river run right through the state capitol, the area not the building. It has created a genuine quiet zone in the middle of a big city. I can't wait to see how bustling it is during the summer.
The wife and I love to walk the greenbelt. It's a nice walk along the Boise river. You can also ride your bike along the greenbelt.
