It wasn't so much the actual dog park (we are poochless) - it was the "no dogs allowed" side trail that ventured off along Alligator Creek that was a winning surprise. It follows the narrow river for about 2 miles. Easy to walk with lots of room for both bikes and walkers. Lush vegetation on both sides and fun spotting... More

It is a great place to take your pets. There are places to wash your dogs when you leave. The only down side is some pet owners don't keep the dogs under control. Our big dog can take care of herselfbut we worry about our smaller dog.

Good place to take dogs on a hot Florida day. The area is completely covered in shade and the dogs have plenty of room to run. There is a special area for the really small dogs. Unless you plan to play with your pet be ready to just sit and watch. Fountains available for dogs only so make sure to... More

There are not many places in Fl you can take your pets. We travel with our pets all the time and are not able to go to a lot of places as we to take the dogs and leaving them in the car is not an option. Had a great time with the dogs there.

My Jackie and her cousin Sailor loved this place. They played and spalshed with dogs of all ages and sizes and we had a very enjoyable day!

great spot to take our four legged friends. lots of expired fish littered the beach day we were there/red tide? One individual felt no need to control his enthusiastic larger dog scaring smaller visitors.

Absolutely wonderful dog park. Clean and spacious. No bad dogs allowed. Parking is a bit sparse but one can park in the beach access right next to the dog park. Picnic tables available.

If you are visiting Venice, and you have a dog you must make this a priortiy. The people that frequent this park are real dog people and the dogs LOVE to run, chase squirrels and just have fun. Some dogs even have the ability to climb the trees after the squirrels. It is fenced, and perfectly safe for your four... More

If your dog is not aggressive and likes other dogs and people it's a nice place to let them run.
