Well just when you think that getting up at 5AM to go diving at 7AM with was horrible, just wait until you experience diving with Megalodon Charters! Not only did they make us feel welcome (I'm not a morning person), but they were extremely knowledgeable about ALL the aspects of diving for sharks teeth and other fossils. We were amazed... More

I've been diving with these guys for three years on 4 separate trips. Can't say enough good things about them. They're very attentive, calling you if a boat may not make the next day so that you can plan a shore dive (only happened to me once during the middle of the week) , their boat is top-notch and their... This was my first time doing a shark tooth dive and I'm ready to go back. While I didn't find a megalodon tooth I did find some nice sharks teeth, some pretty shells and a nice big sanddollar. It was a little disconcerting at first. The visability was about 1-2 feet and silted up as soon I you touched anything.... More

I apologize for not writing a review sooner for Megalodon Charters, as my husband, and I have dove with them 4 times over the last 2 years. We live in San Antonio, so it's not a quick trip for us. Captain Steve and crew have these dive down to a science, so barring bad weather, your dives should go smoothly.... More

The people at Megalodon Charters were very helpful to this new diver when I visited there last summer. There was a dive master, the captain and 6 divers. So it was small and personal. The visibility was not so hot but as we were in shallow water and looking for sharks teeth on the bottom of the ocean, it was... More

My teenage daughter and I went out on a 2-tank with Steve (Captain) and Bruce (Divemaster) over Easter Weekend. We generally dive the Cayman Islands, so the Gulf viz took a little getting used to. Steve and Bruce did take us to 2 sites before deciding on the best one (which shows they cared about the quality and safety of... More

“Thorough and truly concerned for the welfare of their customers” are the words that come to mind after diving with Megalodon Charters in Venice, Florida. I consider myself an experienced diver, having achieved Divemaster level status and logged several hundred dives over a 15 year span. However, this was me and my wife’s first fossil hunting adventure. My wife is... More

We did the two-tank dive with this charter. The crew were very helpful in identifying all the fossils we brought back. I found manatee and other mammal bone fragments as well as the teeth other sharks and stingrays. Visibility was a good 10 ft on both dives (which is great for the Gulf of Mexico). I only found one small... More
