This is a place more for locals, a little off the beaten path. The wild life that you will find when the tide goes out is absolutely incredible!
It was difficult to find a place to park but worth the adventure. Go during low tide and wade out a short distance, jump up on the sea wall and go around the corner, climb down a few rocks and waaa-laa......your natural adventure begins! This was an unexpected surprise. Fun for a couple of retired people! It would be great... More
A bit of a walk, climb around a wall and over a few rocks in the water but was worth the effort for a low tide adventure with an 8 year old. Interesting rock formations, shells and shoreline to explore. Fun and free.
Point of Rocks is not for those who can't walk a bit from the road because there's nowhere to park...unless you live in a nearby rental. No parking on the street and the umbrella chairs are for residents of the condos only, so if you're bringing your beach chairs, coolers, whatever...take a wagon. Also, there are no bathroom facilities. Lovely... More
It is not a large area but being able to get out on the rocks and watch the fish and the tide is awesome. Be careful not to get stuck out there during high tide! Lots of people snorkeling out there but the snake that we saw scared me off of snorkeling.
Point of Rocks is hard to get to, so not many people make it out there, making it even better for the rest of us. This beach is a little hard to get to, traveling down a narrow street trying to avoid people milling round. The area where we were had very limited parking, if any. The beach is very wide which allows for lost of people to gather and enjoy. This is a nice beach for walking once you actually get there.
Little parking to find, great place to find shells and teeth. Great place to hang out, bring an umbrella, sun is brutal.
