Lots of water, well maintained course the rewards you for playing strategic golf. The back nine is a little more forgiving than the front. Would play again.

We have been golfing at the Dunes for many years and 5 years ago our oldest son got married on the island and we had his reception in the clubhouse. It is a very special course, with the wild 9 and the mild 9 but every time we are there, I hear the music of a steel drum and I...

The Dunes on Sasnibel Island is a beautiful golf course that doubles as a wildlife preserve. You will see more birds - Great grey and blue herons, Ibis, cormorants, anhingas, pelicans, egrets of all varieties - than at most bird sanctuaries. There are also HUGE alligators - we saw several about fourteen feet long (no exaggeration!) and other smaller ones....

If you are planning a big event, you might not wait to sign a contract with The Dunes - not the easiest place to deal with -- staff was almost non existence - food was OK - nothing special - and drinks were weak and ridiculously expensive -- no one was very personable . . . No warm feeling at...

Water on every...

Water water everywhere. Challenging but great views and fun. Saw more birds then you can imagine including a huge Bald Eagle on 10. Worth the drive.
Very nice course. It was very busy when we were there but the staff were well organized and moved things along nicely. The course is very challenging and we lost a lot of balls. We were warned early that that would happen. Lots of water.
First time we played here, and we loved it. The surroundings are beautiful and the course was very well maintained. It was just challenging enough to be fun, but not so difficult to be "daunting". My husband and I played with our 17 year old son and we all had fun. We are average golfers. We lost a lot of...

Too pricey for the quality of the course. No driving range. nothing special or challenging about the holes
A well maintained and well run facility. About 5500 yards with water in play on 17 of 18 holes. Fairly tight layout. A nice place to practice your iron play if you a big hitter. Lots of wildlife; great blue herons, egrets, alligators, tarpon, etc. Fully stocked pro shop, driving range (water with floating balls!).
Restaurant and bar to have...
