I am so happy we decided to come to this breathtakingly awesome place. The feeling of serenity and holiness is amazing. It is a very beautiful property, the large cross is so awesome and the mission itself is such a beautiful, holy little building. We very much enjoyed perusing the grounds and gravesites and taking beautiful photos. Admission is free... More

I was guided to the Mission of Nombre de Dios by following the giant cross in the St. Augustine skyline. I was pleased to find a cemetery nestled underneath the second tallest cross in the world. It is well worth checking out. There are plenty of benches to sit and take all the atmoshpere in.

Mission and Museum is free. We did not visit the museum because we wanted to see the cross (the second tallest in they world - or so I read... I could definitely tell how tall it was from the lighthouse more so than on the ground) as well as the mission. The mission was small as expected. The front is... More

Make sure you leave an hour or two for this scenic park and mission. Beautiful place to walk around with your family at a leisurely pace.

This was our very last stop after two full days of heavy sight seeing, and it was a welcome ending to our St Augustine visit. The garden, dotted with old graves, shrines, and the monument to the founding Spanish monk, is beautiful. There's a tiny chapel to "Our Lady," and signage that tells the history of the mission and its... More

My son spotted the cross from Fountain of Youth and I asked him if he wanted to come here, so we stopped in here. We strolled around and saw all the friendly faces and smiles of other people walking around. Very informative with the plaques and info stations they have up.

Loved reading the markers and learning the history of this beautiful place. Sat in swing overlooking the bay and drank my morning coffee! Huge cross overlooking the bay is amazing.

Historical site with a view of the largest cross I have ever seen. Fantastic scenery and actually walking the site is great exercise. The water views are great too. There is no cost but there is a donation box which I have contributed every time. I have been there at least 4 time and enjoy it every time. This is wgere... More

As you walk through the historic grounds and beautiful park, you can see the site where Christian faith took roots. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting St. Augustine.

The shrine was so elegant. Very small but a very traditional church. The 7sorrows of Mary, amazing. The giant cross lay claims the land was founded in Gods name......This is a must see
