We really enjoyed our trip here one day. It didn't take very long to get through, maybe like an hour. It was fun and enjoyable for us. We really wished we would of had our boys with us this day to share the experience.

The folks who are a part of this museum love the history and culture of the pirate era.. Many school groups enjoy this museum. Be sure to see or ask for Capt. William Mayem, pirate magician and historian.
Nearly everything in St Augustine costs $10-$20 per person. This one is well done and worth the $12. We spent just over an hour there. If you are really into artifacts you could easily spend 2+ hours reading and doing all the interactive exhibits. I was so disappointed my camera was broken because there are many things in there worth...

Seemed small from the outside, the entrance through the gift shop made it feel like a roadsid tourist trap, but once inside... Wow. If Disney built a museum, it world look like this. Artifacts placed into context through settings and sceens that made you understand what and how artifacts are used and what a pirates life was like. Spent an...

St. Augustine is a treasure itself. Everywhere you look at is simply beautiful and full of magnificent history. The Pirate & Treasure Museum is one of the highlights of my stay in that marvelous city. It's a treasure within a treasure.
We were family of 6, kids to grandparents, and we all enjoyed this. We took our time and were only there an hour. For that reason, I thought it was a little overpriced, but after seeing the interior displays and technology involved, I understand the cost. The museum is very well done with lots of interactive elements and genuine artifacts....

This tiny (from the outside) attraction had some first time viewing of priceless treasures and artifacts. It was filled with sooo many items and information. We very leisurely walked through the museum after getting a discount from the Pirate Haus Inn. I would like to suggest they offer a two day pass for a couple of dollars more. We stayed...

An older gentleman in the Visitors' Center suggested that we might like the Pirates Museum. My first thought was that it was a tourist trap to entertain children. Actually, it had enough scary stuff to entertain those who enjoy scary things - but it also had interactive displays that were reasonably educational.
The building wasn't too crowded when we were...

It would be helpful if there was a tour explaining the different items on display. While it seems interesting, it takes a lot of time reading everything. Museum is small.
In addition to all of the facts and stories that are told on panels and artifact labels throughout the museum, our museum pirates offer guided tours at 11:00, 2:00 and 4:00 every day throughout the summer through mid August, and on weekends throughout the rest of the year. There is no additional charge for these tours that last about 45...

Perfect family fun. Lots to see... not only recreations but the real stuff. we had a blast. Some smaller children may be frightened (cannon fire is loud, skeleton behind a door, beheaded pirate).
