Unbelievable museum. Although it appears small, the amount of memorabilia, trinkets, and just cool stuff can keep you there for hours. The motor cars themselves are all unique bar none, in pristine condition and can be seen close up. The owner curator is a wealth of knowledge, extremely helpful, but couldn't quite understand my accent. All is forgiven you were... More

Thank You Stephan! With the aid of your funny, little phone gadget, that stored pictures, contained a Global Positioning System AND transmitted International phone calls like magic, I was able to SEE your varied collection of cars, as well. Quite 'unique' especially the "Old-Timers"..... a surprise for such a young man. My hearing??? Too many years in the Rock n... More

We travelled all the way from NZ and ensured that we made the trip to Moutn Dora to see this private museum. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and their friendly cat. A great collection of cars and a very well decked out museum full of lots of interesting collectibles from years gone by. Take the time to make... More

This little museum, and it is little, is a delight. It is very well planned out and though it is not big, you will have lots of fun checking out all of the classic cars and other items from years ago. The owners did a wonderful job in showcasing their vehicles which are the best of the best.

Hello to the Adalys! I can't thank you enough for your kind words. There was, indeed, a lot of planning to make this the Best Entertainment Value in this area. Some times people expect the Guggenheim but, our Museum was designed purpose-built so, my wife and I could manage it alone and keep the admission price low. The City of... More

Hi Candy Q; Thanks for coming to see us. Bike Week always lends us plenty of Bikers who drive over for a Trip Back To The 50's touring this great town, super cafe's and then, our Museum. We have plenty of parking and lot's to see. We do 'tours' , for 20 or more , for just $2 more per... More

My wife and I love to visit Mt. Dora every chance we get. We always said we wanted to visit The Mount Dora Museum of Speed and never had up until this holiday season. All I can say is that anyone over 30 years of age would be mesmerized the moment you walk through the doors. You step back in... More

Thank you Mr. 'V' for your kind review. Funny, after over 12 years here - near the downtown Historical District - we have many Mt. Dora area residents tell us...."I pass by your place all the time and always wanted to come in...." So, we're so glad you did.! We make every effort to change the displays as often as... More

Staying just outside Orlando over the Christmas and New Year break we were desperate to escape the crowded Malls and theme parks. So after using Trip Advisor we came across this fabulous little place that is a credit to its owners. The exhibits are first rate and Cindy looked after us well. It was such a joy I recommended you... More

Thank You So Much for your kind words! Hailing from the United Kingdom we especially appreciate the effort to come and see us and our Museum. Many of our patrons drive over from the Theme Parks after they tire of the huge crowds. The Town of Mount Dora is, indeed, a great Dejavu Trip to 'Kinder Times' in America. That... More

Visited this museum over a year ago and what s fantastic little place it is. The cars are all stored surrounded by period decorations and all are in very good conditions. If you like American muscle, 60's, 70's and 80's cars you will love it here. Although the museum is small it will take you a good deal of time... More

Thank You Very Much for stopping to see us again! "Wally" our official greeter LOVES the attention he gets from all the visitors here. He's a registered Persian cat & actually lives in the Gift Shoppe full-time. "Annie" is a bit more shy and only comes out to visit the Post Lady. I can't tell you how much your kind... More

I wasn't expecting a ton from a small-town car museum, but man was I wrong. From the instant you step into the showroom from the quaint and homey entrance, you'll be shocked at how close you get to stand and view some of the rarest and most amazing classic cars in history. From 1950's Corvettes to a Shelby Cobra, the... More

Thanks So Much for the Kudo's. The biggest surprise we get is someone that goes through the Museum in 20 minutes, or less. We are so glad to see that you spent enough time to really 'see' all of the 1,000's of Antiques , Memorabilia and Petrolina we have assembled over the last 44-45 years. We constantly endeavor to add... More

My wife, father in law, and I wandered in here the day after Thanksgiving, not really knowing what to expect. Turns out we were the only ones in the museum, and Mr. Bogard gave us a personal tour and explanation of the cars and other equally fascinating exhibits. He was incredibly generous with his time, and is so knowledgeable about... More

My son and I truly enjoyed the day while visiting this great car museum. The cars are amazing and best part is they have Pro-Cars, ot hearses. As a funeral directior you don't see many museums with a hearse on display.

Thank You for coming to see us! My appreciation for Funeral Cars was realizing each 'Pro Car' is totally custom made from the 'front clip' back. They were yesterday's, and are now today's, Custom Body Builders, just like in the 30's. Once we realized that , they were a welcome addition to our Museum. We hope that next time car... More
