Mother always said , live in palm beach but be buried on Fisher Island. From the Birdcage. Fisher Island is just a beautiful place off Miami Beach
Gueto for millionaire people who lives here because do not want to have any relation with the rest of the city, so, why we have to visit them? No sense. Apart from that, if i was millionaire i would buy a great house in other place, not an appartment in a reserve.
Other than its a private island, there's nothing interesting. Didn't see Oprah or Tom Cruise walking around. If I was super wealthy, I wouldn't have a place here. I would have my own private island. Millionaires row is much cooler and neater to look at.
We went with our 3 kids (7,13 and 15 years old) at first they were not so happy or exiting to go, but one they started to see the mansions of the Stars they were fasinated, the drinks on board were great, the lady narrating the trip was very kind but we could not understand anything that she said in... ate at Porto Cervo which in my opinion there is NO better restaurant in Miami Beach for Northern Italian food. I was invited as a guest,- it's beautiful, top notch service, and the food ,well is amazing!
A wonderful place to tour if you want to see how many of the rich and famous stars live their floridian lives. Its truly an experience, especially when you learn that some of the low rent villa go for a cool million dollars a month. Oprah has a 6 million dollar a month condo there with her own private helipad.
I've been to Fisher Island many times, but my first trip was when the resort was just getting under way, I believe in the late 1980's. The island itself provides for a private escape away from the hustle, bustle of the Miami, South Beach. Condo's are large, well appointed, the golf course is beautiful, challenging.
great place well managed from ferrys to shops on island, I asked my buddy" why did you spend all this money and buy here"? after one visit I realized this is miami 50 years ago , No knuckle heads.. If you got the money spend it here!!
We love our weekends in Fisher Island. Garwoods is a wonderful place to unwind on Friday night, live music, great wine list, terrific food.
