We loaded up the van with our kids and Grandma to experience this "drive through" safari, and we weren't disappointed. I thought the prices were a little steep, but with the online coupon it made the cost reasonable. The first part of the park was the actual drive through safari which can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 1.5 hours depending... I have been going to Lion Country Safari since I was a kid and have always loved my experiences there!. The first half is a close encounter with live animals! Rhinos, Ostrich, Giraffe, Buffalo, Lions and more. You can pull over to the side if you want other cars to pass you which is nice so you can take pictures.... More

First off, Lion Country Safari is not inexpensive. Plus or minus $30 for adults (including tax) and about $22 for kids, but if you can afford it, the place will give you and your grandkids pretty much a good half day worth of fun. To start with, once you pass the gate in your car, you are given a hand... More

We luckily downloaded and brought a coupon for $8 off per person to reduce the high cost - even without it, this is a delightful place. Also, luckily, we visited on a weekday - reputation is that weekends can get very crowded. The up-close-and-personal drive-through part of the visit was FANTASTIC! Go, go now!

I took my daughter here for her fourth birthday. It was such an enjoyable experience for her. It was like we were in Africa. She really loves animas, so this was a perfect opportunity for her to see bigger animals than what she normally interacts with. We got there a little bit before closing time, due to our busy schedule... More

The audio tour as you drive through the sanctuary is very well done and it is really nice having the ability to pull off the side and let other cars pass if you want to watch a particular group of animals for awhile. The park inside is also nice, although not as exciting as some other, dedicated amusement parks. The... More

We had to change our plans while on vacation and cancel what was to be the highlight of our trip. Instead we stayed in Ft Lauderdale and then decided to try the Lion Country Safari. While a little expense in my mind we were very impressed with the whole park. Our 3 yo son thoroughly enjoyed the drive through safari.... More

Thank you for taking the time to tell guests about your experience. We are so glad to you to hear you had a great time. Sometimes the best time to go through the safari is when it is raining. The animals tend to be more active in the rain because it is cooler outside. We have expanded the park over... More

Loved driving around the large animals in the drive through safari. It was a beautifully maintained and the CD that they issue you at the gate is very informative. The walk through safari is also very beautiful. If you have kids they will love the water features where they can play and get cooled off. Lots of animals and gardens.... More

We drove through this on a rainy day with our preschooler and toddler in tow. It was surprisingly great; we got up close views of a lot of different kinds of animals and it wasn't too long of a drive. The animals' facilities seemed clean and spacious, and I came away being surprised that we liked the visit so much.... More

Thank you for taking the time to tell guests about your experience! We actually encourage our guest to drive-through in the morning hours or later afternoon. The animals tend to be more active when it is cooler outside and when it rains. Currently, Lion Country Safari offers guest the chance to spend the day with over 900 animals. In our... More

went on a weekend with my 16 month old and my mom; the baby was not so into the safari part, but had a lot of fun in the park area. The first part of the safari was fairly dull, but towards the end it did start to get interesting and even exciting when we saw huge rhinos, giraffes and... More
