Walking on this bridge was so much fun. We saw turtles, sting rays, dolphins, and tarpon. The kids had a blast. We also were able to catch a sunset from this bridge. Breathtaking to be sure!! We never did make it to the end, but, it was wonderful just the same. More

Driving over the 7-mile bridge is, literally, a beautiful experience; but running or walking on the old 7-mile bridge is a must-do... especially at sunrise or sunset. Amazing! More

We rode our bicycles out the old bridge to Pigeon Key. On the way we spoted a very large turtle. At Pigeon Key we toured with Eric. He provides a detailed history of the island and the construction of the railroad. Many of the structures are from the time of the railroad construction. There is an interesting museum that shows... We got very lucky when we got there about 1/2 hour before the sunset. There isn't much parking. You can walk out two miles if you feel like it. The old bridge is a great experience and the sunset was almost perfect. We got some great pictures. We will be back for another sunset one day. More

I grew up crossing the OLD bridge. SCARRY!!!! When it is pouring raining and you see the trucks coming at you. Back then, It was barely wide enough for two vehicles side by side & no shoulder. Today, I could drive it blind, all kinds of room. Now more tourists and trouble ruining the Keys at a faster pace. More

Ok, it is not the longest in the US but it goes on and on. And google about the Flagler railroad track next to it. Great bit of history. The Sunset Grille on Marathon side is good place to get a bite to eat. More

I remember the old bridge better. Up Close and Personal. After an argument with my wife in the car heading North to Ft. Lauderdale. I got out of the car, began hitch-hiking back to Key West. After refusing to get back in the car... I walked across the Old 7 Mile bridge. The bridge was very narrow and I had... More

Walk, cycle, blade, run....it's all good on the 'Old' Seven Mile Bridge. Two miles out to Pigeon Key and back all the while watching the water for turtles, rays and dolphin. Be sure to catch at least one sunset from the bridge too! More
