Very nice. Pet friendly. Your pup needs to be in leash (NOT FLEXIE). There are 2 different walks 1) more greenery 2) more water. We did the first about a mile and so much to see. It was $10 for each of us. We would go back.

Beautiful place to unwind and hear birds and see peaceful scenery. Even in their winter. Loved the bamboo gardens and other unique plants.

My wife and I visited the Gardens in early March, 2023. It is a very pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. All of the major walkways are paved so it is easy to walk through these Gardens. Even though it is early spring, there were plenty of flowered plants and bushes.

The gardens were so quiet and serene. I found myself just wandering and listening to the birds. It was so beautiful. The bamboo garden was amazing and the azalias were in full bloom and just gorgeous.

A wonderful walk through a beautiful and diverse collection of plant communities, the number of bamboo species alone is impressive. Well worth the time in any season.

Was in town with family and stopped in while waiting for a doctor appointment. I think they did a very nice job putting these gardens together. I liked the herb garden very much and just enjoyed walking around the beautiful grounds.

We were somewhat disappointed. The photos of the giant lilies was what we wanted to experience. After walking all areas, we found no big lilies.
At the entrance when asked, they are bug lilies late summer and fall. If we would have known we would have skipped this botanical garden. We expected more, for those who wants to see a variety of plants it would ve a fine place.

Very dog friendly with water stations throughout the grounds. Very shady also. I understand dogs must be on a leash and there may be some restrictions on festival days.

Yes, very dog friendly with water stations located at various parts of the park. Very shady in most places. I understand pets must be on a leash and there may be some restrictions on pets during special festival activities.

Are flowers in bloom right now and what’s the best month to visit?

I would say April is the best time to visit the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. It has been cold and except for azaleas, our flowers are not in bloom.

Yes, on a leash. We take our dog each time we go. We always take a bag in case she poops, and we watch for alligators near the water. It is a great place to walk dogs!

As others have said, it does have a minimal entrance fee that I felt was well worth it
If you're into photography, especially macro photography, this place is a gold mine

No it is not. My wife are annual membership holders because it is cheaper in the long run if you plan on going more than three times a year. We paid $22 for a year for me, my wife and my two kids. We purchased this deal on Groupon.

Hey!
So i will be attending the Moonlight walk at the Botanical Gardens and I'm just wondering about a few things that I'm not able to find on the website.
Can you bring your own refreshments?
How busy will it actually be?
Are there any sights that i HAVE to check out?

Hi, you can bring your own food, as long as you clean it up. there is a snack bar, though it wasnt open when i was there. On sunday, it wasnt very busy & the property was so big you dont really run into people. I'd say definetly check out the herb garden, labrynth and bamboo garden. 😄 Hope thats helpful!
