I went to state park, this county park is so much friendly. The rive ris amazing, but it is a long four hours with no liquid nor reapplying sun screen. I am a little sore
I went with a group of ladies on a weekend getaway. We spent one day scalloping (really fun!) and one day tubing. Upon arrival to the park we were greeted by a lovely British man who gave us directions and instructions. We took the shuttle from the overflow area to the park to get our tubes and locker. There are... More
There was confusion on where to go and even some attitude from one of the workers. Not sure how to make this easier next time. It was very busy though and now we know how things work.
Watch for GATORS, otters and native birds. Rent kayaks and canoes plus inner tubes. I think I would want to be in a boat (gators) Cheap prices and enjoy the float down the river and chill out.

It was our first time there and it was very easy to maneuver in and out. Friendly staff, no questions asked... Read the web site and it gives you all you need. I do suggest getting there no later than 9 to avoid the rush on the weekends!

Also, it's a 4 hour tour. therefore, if was a little challenging with kids. they did great for 3 hours (ours are 5-10 yrs... More
K.P. Hole County Park is a great launch point for exploring the Rainbow River. What a beautiful stretch of crystal blue water. We rented kayaks from the concession at the Park. The boat staff were well organized, professional and helpful. Our goal was to paddle upriver to Rainbow Springs State Park and then float back to K. P. Hole. It... More
The section of the Rainbow River north of the county park is worth exploring. There is a $5 fee to launch from this park, but it is worth it. The workers at the park are very helpful and will answer all your questions willingly (Ph. 352-489-3055). Bring a pair of goggles to explore under water. The sights are impressive. From... More
Everyone here was really pleasant and helpful. We did a 4 hour float. Great deal for a relaxing family day.
