Looking for a beach, this state park has the best ones on the keys. They have beaches on the bay side and ocean side, water is clear and shallow for at least 75 yds. You can also hike around and it has palms and huge sea grape trees. Many great places for photo ops. The main beach off to your... More

We visited this park on our way to Key West as we were told it was the home of the most beautiful beach in the keys. We paid $9 for two to enter. The parking was next to the beach and there were kayaks for rent. The water was calm clear and various shades of blue and green. We walked... More

Friendly staff and clean facilities are what make this state park awesome! I use the boat launch all the time and it is plenty wide and easy to use. The gift shop and sandwich shop are nice with good choices. No need to go anywhere else.... stay the day and enjoy!

Bahia Honda is a must do, its beautiful and serene. Lots of history and wide variety of sights. The beaches are some of the best in the keys. Went snorkeling on Looe Key one day and had a wonderful time even got to see the resident giant grouper under the dive boat.

After facing the busy beaches at the Keys we finally could relax in a real beautiful and preserved beach. The water is clear and warm. It is wonderful to swim and perfect for snorkeling if you are a fan. Everything is very organized with good infra-structure for visitors. If you are going to or come back from the Key West... More

We spent the day exploring Bahia Honda. From our experience, it was better to go to the beach later in the day after the noon picnicking crowds began to depart. We had no problem finding a vacant table under the shelter. The beach and the water were ideal. (We were there mid May.) They have very clean restroom facilities and... More

I have visited all the Florida State Parks and this is one of my favorite parks - especially for swimming. The park is 500 + acres of island paradise. We arrived one recent Saturday, soon after the park opened at 8 am. We paid our entrance fee of $8.50 for our vehicle and parked in the main daily use parking... More

This is ranked the best beach in the Keys…the day we were there the winds were high and had kicked up piles of sea grass all over the beach, making for a stinky place! The water is murky, but there are a few sandy spots to walk around in…that’s just a Keys beach for you. We were disappointed that our... More
