As the only natural history museum in the state, the Museum welcomes more than 75,000 visitors each year to experience an African watering hole, gaze up at a giant squid, encounter a jaguar face-to-face, and marvel at the diversity of shells from around the globe. Gallery highlights also include the only permanent dinosaur collection in Delaware, a simulated coral reef, and a Science in Action paleontology lab. Throughout the year, the Museum also hosts several special exhibits on national tour. « less

It's not a museum to go back to over and over again. But considering the admission fee, it's worth going one time and have an enjoyable experience. Join its membership and you get the ASTC inter-museum benefits! More

I have been to the museum a total of three times...every time I experience the same thing. The only reason I went was because my son asked, but I dread going. It's not a bad museum...small, but cool dinosaurs, and I also like the exhibit room in the back changes often. But the staff?? Quite possibly the nastiest older ladies... More

There wasn't much there that we hadn't seen in other museums. It was all very nice but small. I'm glad we didn't pay to get in (we got in via ASTC reciprocal membership).. More

The boys have a lot of fun at both overnights and afternoon visits here. Close to home and small enough to manage a group of kids easily. More

If you've been to a real Natural History Museum like in New York and Chicago, this one just can't compare. It tries. More

Decent enough, but if you pay full price, it's better to go elsewhere. More

A small but fun diversion for the family. You can't really compare this to the larger museums as it is smaller etc. More

A very nice museum just outside of Wilmington which boasts some very nice permanent exhibits and of course some exhibits which change throughout the year. Great dinosaur skeletons, lots of dioramas, birds, sealife, large mammals, etc. Just what you would hope for in a Natural History Museum. This one is particularly good for kids who are younger and do not... More

Super great for kids and adults. Great seashell collection, rocks and minerals, dinosaur and many other displays. Suppose to be a butterfly garden but didn't see it. Lots of bronzes outside. More
