The museum is located near the Green in Dover, and has much to enjoy. While admission is free, donations are accepted. More

the museum is small but big in history, my brother and his wife enjoyed it very much and we are planning another trip to Dover to visit other attractions. More

This museum like the State of Delaware is small but significant. It boast's a collection of paintings, silver and furniture and other decorative arts dating from the mid-eighteenth through the 20th century. The Biggs Museum of American Art is a little gem that has many surprises. The Biggs Museum is one of the best regional museums I've experienced (regional meaning that it's permanent collections focus on objects made in or owned by people of the Mid-Atlantic region). I just returned from a visit to the Biggs Museum of Art here in Dover. It is a very small museum, just two floors (14 galleries in total). The museum has constantly changing exhibits by local artists.
