We've been season ticket holders for several years now. Theaterworks is a wonderfully small intimate theater that always has unusual but usually very good small cast productions. You just can't beat the price of a season subscription for live theater anywhere else. And parking is never a problem with their arrangement with a local garage. The base price tickets are... More

Just saw 'Mountaintop' last night. I've been to Broadway many times, and other live theatre performances all over the US. The performances do not get any better than this. Small venue, great 'communication' with the performers on stage.

This is a very small theatre. Before you purchase your ticket make sure you don't have an obstructed view. Season pass is available. I've only seen plays here. Refreshments available.

TheaterWorks puts on plays that are consistently well-executed in a small scale setting. Ticket prices are affordable, and the venue is friendly with no attitude. If you're looking for some theatre and don't want the expense of Broadway or the Bushnell, TheaterWorks is just the ticket!

My husband and I have seen several plays at this venue. We have thoroughly enjoyed each one. The setting is intimate so you feel like you can really appreciate the actors. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance as well

My wife and I attended the production, Almost Maine, on January 27, 2013. We both found the production entertaining, and the acting was superb. TheaterWorks is located in the basement of a building on Pearl Street. It is smaller than The Hartford Stage, but the seats are closer to the stage, and there is no bad seating. The staff is... More

This play is hilarious and was very well executed by the solo actor. The theater is small and intimate and not a bad seat in the place. Not the first show I have seen here but definitely one of my favorites. I highly recommend this theater.

If you want a cushion on your seat, you have to pay an additional fee. A very uncomfortable place to see a play.

My first time going to TheaterWorks and what a great experience. The play itself was "interesting". Definitely thought provoking... It was a 2 person show and the actors were incredible! We bought seasons tickets and absolutely love the laid back, no printable tickets, no particular day attitude and process they have. We showed up about an hour before the show... More

Not a place for kids, but the productions are nothing less than fantastic. There is always a twist or something about the production that leaves you thinking long after the curtain falls.
