Blue Sky Basin is very accessible from Lions Head Gondola. In deep powder, it compares well with any slopes in Central Colorado. If the snow is not deep, then go take a hike in the Holy Cross Wilderness Area surrounding Beaver Creek Resort.

The Blue Sky Basin, a recent addition of territory to the already huge Vail Ski Resort, is a fantastic ski/snow board terrain. Plenty of runs of all abilities and usually great snow. Right now you can avoid the crowds on the front by heading here early in the morning. The cruisers are Grand Review, Cloud 9 and Big Rock Park which lead to Pete's Express and back up. Those three runs will make you feel that you can ski even if you should know better. A few trees widely set add to...

Whenever it's a powder, Blue Sky Basin is the only place in Vail/Beaver Creek to find me. 'Nuff said.
