Wow! Great native American exhibits. Had a very nice Thomas Cole, which was a treat, plus some smaller Bierstadts and one really good large one.

This museum had an eclectic mix of art--modern and traditional, with areas for hands-on children's experience. I especially enjoyed the exhibit of Rocky Mountain paintings by artist Charles Partridge Adams. They had so much warmth!
Beautiful layout, multiple levels in two buildings. We saw the Georiga O'Keefe retrospective, which was beautifully curated. There is a large expanse of space, all logically organized and well-signed. Plenty of different areas of interest for everyone.
I've been going to the Denver Art Museum all my life, but I was really thrilled by my most recent trip in May. The expansion of the textile collection is really inspiring. I love how the museum is making the exhibits more accessible by having areas where visitors can try out some of the art activities and read more about...

If one is interested in Art ,this Museum has a great collection and puts on first class -- in fact epic class , exhibits throughout the year. Google the Museum to see what is going on when you plan a visit to Denver.

The modern exhibit was filled to the brim with talent and ingenuity. A wonderful addition to the cultural wealth of denver and a huge improvement to the art scene since...

The building is a pleasant one and the collection is not too large, so you are able to take time to look at the different sections. I particulalry liked the collection of native american art including textiles, clothing, sculptures, pottery as well as paintings. The staff were very helpful, it is well worth a visit.
They have so many interactive things to do and see we weren't able to do it all we didn't realize how big it is! I really enjoyed quilting a block to share and the friendly staff the beautiful works of art all of it!!! Will definitely be going back to explore more!!!
I attended on a free day over a year ago and loved the museum. I have been back a few times since to take in all the art with out the mega crowds on free days.
Every time I visit the Denver Art Museum, I'm wowed by the quality of the temporary exhibits and overwhelmed by the the sheer quantity of high quality items in their permanent collection. Our visit this past weekend was no exception. The place was oddly quiet, especially since it was a holiday weekend, but that only made it easier to enjoy...
