The quality of the performances we've seen are exceptional. We had season tickets last time we were on vacation and enjoyed every performance.
We loved visiting Creede, Colorado August 2013. Beautiful scenery and fun downtown. But don't miss catching a show at the Creede Repertory Theatre. So worth our time. Its so crazy that such great theater is in such a small but beautiful place. And don't miss Fardog across the street for food and beverages. Cute, fun place with a yummy menu.... More
We got a three show package. We saw funny thing, around the world and land of the dead. Many of the actors were in all three showed in two days. Land of the dead is a strange weird Shakespeare story. Not a Shakespeare play but about him and his theatre company and a few zombies for good measure. Very entertaining... More
We saw a matinee in the smaller theatre and loved it. The action was so up close and the actors were awesome. We had a lot of fun. The company is very professional and they do an awesome job, especially this year when they have had problems with forest fires, etc in the area. They have kept up the spirit... More
Sure, you came to Colorado to hike, hunt and fish....but treat yourself to a great show, by true professionals in what is kind of, the middle of nowhere. Great town, wonderful theatre! I've never seen a show I wasn't impressed by. Broadway at 9000 ft!
You imagine how fortunate we got when we moved just two hours from Creede. We have a delightful escape, and can enjoy first rate theater. The Creede Repertory Theatre ranks right up with NYC and London in our experience. We just want to share the news.
The plays are excellent and the cast is absolutely wonderful. At the end of each play, the cast troops outside to greet the audience. It is great fun The theater is small and cozy and allows one to really feel part of the play. Staff are excellent. Tickets are reasonably priced. $31 for seniors.
I have laughed until I cried and cried without laughing at this magical place. A snob friend of mine opined that you can't find quality theater in a tiny mountain town. My reply cannot be printed--but the Boomtowners could make it sing. This is outstanding theater in a charming venue. They provide amazing entertainment with spartan resources. Forget high tech... We enjoyed spending a couple of nights at the Old Firehouse B&B in Creede, CO as the fire let up and were rewarded with a very entertaining "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum". Wonderful cast and production. We hope to see their production of "Around the World in 80 Days" at the Arvada Center this fall.
This has to be some of the finest Theater anywhere. The Language of Trees was moving and well done. We were so impressed with the quality we saw 4 play in 24 hours, we couldn't enough. Not to be missed in this mountain town.
