if you like a nice quiet hot springs then cottonwood is for you. the accommodations are not five star but the are comfortable. no kids after six makes this a great spot if you dont want kids around. cottonwood is about 1.5hrs from frisco in summit county. not a bad drive and you can stop and enjoy leadville.

We stayed for two nights in the Lodge. The rooms are not fancy but they have a fridge and a microwave. There's a kitchenette available in the main part of the lodge if you want to make a snack or breakfast. The rates are reasonable and the place is clean. We will visit again.

A nice place for a rustic overnight stay. Don't expect elegance or you will be disappointed. My husband and I stopped here for a night during a colorado road-trip.

I've visited the Cottonwood Hot Springs on 3 consecutive vacations and never been disappointed. Their natural springs are warm and clean; some are almost too hot. We just returned from our first and last visit to CHS. We stayed in Cabin 2 which was neat but not at all clean. The kitchen floor was sticky, there was thick dust and cobwebs everywhere.
