This place is pretty small and even going slowly you'll probably see everything in a couple of hours. We made a half-day trip out of it by going out to see the sailboats at the dock nearby, walking around a bit and then checking out CuriOdyssey. It's a great little museum. The zoo: They have a small collection of indigenous animals (e.g. raccoon, bobcat, assorted reptiles, aviary, invertebrates, etc.) The habitats are designed so kids can see the animals pretty well (as long as they aren't hiding). Curiodyssey is a mini zoo/science learning center. My 18 month old LOVES to go inside the center and watch the marble contraption shoot marbles out (there's a wheel on one side that allows participants to control the speed of which the marbles descend down the maze). This is a great outing for kids during sumer break. They can explore the exhibits then play outside in the park. Definitely work getting a membership. Also, for boys working on cubs scout badges, they can find plenty of information. More

We just visited the Coyote Point Museum and were really surprised. My husband grew up in the area and only remembered the old museum. This is a wonderful museum for kids and very inexpensive. Unfortunately, they closed the older exhibits, but the current focus is on interactive exhibits in the main building. My 3 year old would have played inside... More
