We almost missed finding this glimpse into old San Luis Obispo, and we're so glad we persevered. The story of the family and the house is an intriguing part of local history, and the exhibition at the S.L.O history museum offered even more. These old adobes are fast disappearing. Don't miss seeing this one.

Lovely historical spot; pretty gardens; adobe home; nicely renovated; used for private and community gatherings. Very personal and private area. Relaxing to visit. Spring and Summer are best times to visit.

The Dallidet adobe is really a must-see in San Luis. The gardens are lovely, even in winter, beautifully tended by volunteers. The house is a fascinating glimpse into the past and a leading Central Coast family's history. I recently visited the Dallidet Gardens and Adobe. I was so impressed with the docents working in the adobe, they were both informed and enthusiastic. From what I understand they hold weddings in the gardens. I image a wedding there would be amazing as the grounds are so lush. A really wonderful gem in the heart of SLO.

Unfortunately this lovely sight is barely known amongst even locals, but it is a breathtaking acre of gardens right in the heart of downtown!
