The zoo was beautiful! Lots of animals to see. The kids especially loved the petting zoo.

I live in Sacramento and love to go to the Sacramento Zoo to just sit and read a book and listen to the animals around me. The grounds are beautiful. The zoo food is good. The corndogs give you that state fair corndog taste all year and the garlic fries are great. The grounds are clean and, generally, don't have...

We took our 2.5 year old daughter here for the day and she loved it. I think every toddler and pregnant mother in the greater sacramento area was there the Saturday we visited! ;) They have a small train (no track) that drives the little ones around the park. We didn't ride because the line was too long. There was...

Quaint, friendly and small enough to get close to the animals and really appreciate them. Very well maintained, not commercialized. Lovely zoo! We go on a regular basis and with out of town visitors.

It has a great cross section of animals and wildlife, plants, and more. It's large enough to be interesting, yet compact enough to prevent fatigue and/or crankiness from the younger - or older...

This is not the San Diego or Seattle Zoo, but it is a great local zoo that meets the needs of this community. I enjoyed feeding the giraffes the most. You see them eye to eye and not in a cage.
A nice way to spend a leisurely warm afternoon. We and those we watched enjoyed the time. If your...
