Lots to see and do. The Fort has reenactments. Be sure to check dates for these events. More

Was interesting for about 10 minutes just to understand history of Sacremento but wouldn't spend too long. More

Came here with my daughter for her 3rd grade field trip. Lots of good info, with people dressing up in period clothes on certain dates. Not much parking around the area. More

It is a good historical site, so it is a good location for a family visit, to show the kids, and to see for ourselves as adulsts, how the pioneers lived in the old days. The old Western style life style. The visit will take about an hour. More

Good history, but not alot to see. Good neighborhood, and good for kids, make sure you bring bread to feed the ducks. More

Great place to take kids for a morning or afternoon trip. Cheap and they will have fun. Parents will enjoy the experience too. Be sure to visit the Indian Museum in the park too - it is even better than the fort. More

In this day of "high tech", try some good old fashioned show and tell of how things used to be - and you'll be refreshed with the pioneer spirit that those hardy sould had to give us the foundations of what we so richly enjoy today. Just take an hour and step back in time - enjoy! More

A great place to bring kids for an immersion in California history. Sutter was instrumental in the settlement of California, and Sutter's Fort encompasses exhibits from the first camp through the development of Sacramento, with notable forays into the Gold Rush and the Donner Party. More

Walking through the gates takes you back to when this was the western wilderness. More
