E.S. offers an inviting little tented side garden for tasting their delightul wines. The building is small, so the extension into fresh air makes sense, but tasting in the fresh air adds something to the experience.

This winery was GORGEOUS!! We sat on the patio and sipped our tasting. The perfect place for an outing with girlfriends! I loved that they let you wander around their garden and taste their wonderful tomatoes. The staff was so knowledgeable and fun to chat with.
I am usually not a Chardonnay person, but their EXS Chardonnay was enough to...

I spent a week in Napa at Hugh Carpenter's cooking school this past July. Of of our outings was to have a blind wine tasting and then lunch with Elizabeth. By the way, Spencer is her husband. I really loved the wines and lunch was truly special. thank you Elizabeth and Hugh.
This was our second visit to Elizabeth Spencer's. We had visited this winery for the first time a couple of years ago. We really enjoyed their wines, so I joined their wine club and we had purchases a couple of bottles of wine. This visit didn't disappoint, we again really enjoyed the tasting and ended up purchasing several bottles of...

This is a very small tasting room in Rutherford, but that's what makes this place great! It's hard to stop here and not become friends with everyone in the room. It's super cute inside. The staff knows their wines, and aren't pushy - you can tell they are just like us and love to drink wine! My favorite was Rose...

The Elizabeth Spencer tasting room is in the middel of Rutherford just off Hwy 29, remote from their winery. It's small, but very accommodating and the staff was pleasant and offered a few extra tastes to those who knew and appreciate their wine. A very nice experience.
We had a very pleasant time at the Elizabeth Spencer tasting room. The gentleman who helped us was very knowledgeable about their wines and was friendly and able to carry on a conversation on a variety of topics. The wines were good and we purchased a few bottles. There is a $20 tasting fee which is refunded if you buy...

Another couple recommended Elizabeth Spencer Wines to us. The building (old post office) is great. Our server,Hector, was one of the most personable wine ethusiasts we have ever experienced. Many have criticized the size of the tasting room, however, we found it very quaint and delightful. The wines were the best we have tasted in the Napa Valley. We enjoy...

My wife and I had multiple suggestions to visit this small winery. Ready for something new, we stopped here and were glad we did. The building is very small which happens to be the original post office of the town. They had a great outdoor space where we had our tasting. Most important about this place is how great their...

I have been to Elizabeth Spencer only a handful of times (I live on the East Coast), but make a point of stopping by whenever in Napa/Sonoma area. Every experience has been the Napa alternative...and that's a good thing. A couple points I'd make:
- It's a tiny historic old building (the Rutherford Post Office) converted into a tasting room....
