I just returned home from California and feel compelled to write a review about my positive experience with Undiscovered Country Bike Tours (UDC). I rented a Scott carbon CR1 pro road bike which was in impeccable condition, set up to the online specifications (which they solicit) and delivered to (and picked up!) from the SFO airport for my convenience. The... More

I arranged a bike rental with UDC online over Easter weekend. The Scott carbon fiber frame and Shimano Ultegra components were superior quality and performed flawlessly. The instructions I provided ahead of time for bike fit, seat and pedal preferences were followed exactly. The saddle bag with inner tube, patch kit, tire levers and CO2 cartridges were a very thoughtful... More

This was the best bike trip i have ever been on. First of all: great people. Susan and Laura were wonderful - fun, thoughtful, interesting, knowledgeable, kind, smart, organized. The hotels were great, especially the Santa Ynez Inn - WOW! I have been in the Paso Robles to Solvang area many times but never on the great roads we traveled... More

Our family decided to not by "things" for Christmas, but to have an experience instead. So we chose to do a bike ride with Undiscovered Country Tours. We had never done a tour with them but decided we liked the reviews and the personal response we got from Terry the owner It was magnificent. Top notch bikes, (all carbon) sized and... More

A fantastic first group cycling experience. My husband and I joined 8 others (who were tons of fun) and did the Oct 23 Undiscovered Wine Country and Pacific Coast 6 day tour. All the stars aligned and we had great weather. Our guides, Mike and Mike, were fantastic; great company and attended to our every need. The Scott bikes were... More

Our group of 4 ladies loved our Wine country 6 day tour. Everything was fabulous including the guides, hotels, bikes, and the route maps. Too many raves to include here, but I thought it was great value and would highly recommend this company. I plan to travel with them again in the future. More

I spent the past weekend with UDC on the 3-day weekend Sonoma Valley/Russion river bike tour. A small group of us were hosted by Susan and Laura for the weekend and I can not say enough good things about not only the amazing ride but also the level of detail and organization that went into planning the weekend. UDC really... More

We completed the Sonoma / Pacific Coast tour last Friday. We had a great experience with Mike and Mike as our well prepared guides. I was so pleased with the variety of landscapes we rode through. The food was beyond great, the lodgings were lovely and comfortable and the bicycles were top notch. Thank you UDC Tours!! More

I recently used Undiscovered Country Tours for a six day trip through Sonoma County and out to the Pacific Coast Highway. I felt that, for the most part, the tour was very well organized, and well put together. There was a last minute cancellation which caused some lodging confusion for me as we went through the tour - which I... More

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience with UDC. I'm gratified that you had an enjoyable time overall. We try to do whatever we can to ensure a flawless experience, so it concerns me that the rooming assignments were anything but perfect. Our internal records show the rooming was correct, so I have contacted all the... More

My wife and I did a 3 day tour of the Sonoma Wine County near the Russian River. This is a classic part of California and it was incredibly beautiful. It is some of the most scenic riding my wife and I had ever done. Sun dappled country roads through the redwoods, vinyards and coastal riding. This tour had it... More
