A beautiful trek into the desert. If you take the tram make sure you take a jacket (even in the hot summer) because the temperature quickly drops as you enter a pine hiking area. Take a picnic lunch with you because you won't find any place to eat. If you're taking the tram you'll find a food concession but it...

Nice place to hike. They provide maps with markers so you do not get lost. Go in the morning gets too hot by 1pm.
I did this hike with Carter a 10 year old, and we both enjoyed it. Walking up the trail with the guide map and looking for the marked rocks and signs was interesting but the waterfall was really great! We did this hike at the beginning of April with lots of water cascading down and going into the pond. Carter...

I hiked this beautiful canyon many times while growing up in the Desert. Since it reopened it is more beautiful than ever. The park service is taking very good care of the trails.

Amazingly, with a wide age range of walkers, he paced the walk so it was good for everyone. Lots of local knowledge and background of the Canyon that was not included...

Sure you pay for a hike, but I believe if that money goes to preserve and maintain something like this than it is money well spent. Nice loop along a stream to a shaded picturesque waterfall. My 4 year old hiked the whole thing and loved it. Lots of lizards running around, some shade in the morning and in April...

Our guide Mike (Wednesdays only - definitely worth going on Wednesday - he was just awesome) immediately put my son at ease and partnered up with...

I first learned of this trail from a Canadian couple I met the night before during my stay in Palm Springs. I decided to check it out. I had a blast. I did the hike by myself and felt totally comfortable. The hike was super easy and the waterfall was so serene. I spent an hour down by the waterfall...
