I've been to lots of stuffy museums so couldn't have been more pleased by visiting this one...not stuffy. Open and light and inviting. Two wonderful shows going on right now. It's swimming pools from Southern California over the years. Wonderful photography that highlights the architecture, fabulous photos of famous movie stars and even a complete video show of Esther Williams... More

I thought the star of this museum was the exhibit of western art showing work by both Native American and white artists, some fabulous bronzes, paintings and other artwork . At the time we visited there was a very interesting glass exhibit on which I particularly enjoyed, good facilities and reasonably priced cafe. More

I am a member and always take my out of town guests here. Exhibits are terrific and the shop has wonderful delights. Programs abound....suggest that anyone in the desert become a member. More

We made plans to go on free Thursday which starts at 4:00 PM but would have paid to going rate tour this museum. Great painting, glass and native exhibits. My favorite was the "Backyard Oasis" photo exhibit on southern California swimming pools. Didn't like the guided tour as the guide was too detailed and wordy on just a few exhibits. More

The PS Art Museum is relatively small but has a very nice collection and interesting traveling exhibits. The building is nice and open with good light. Don't miss the sculpture garden on the lower level and the Annenburg Theater also on the lower level is a fine venue (we've seen films there during the International Film Festival). The museum is... Loved the small Chamberland and the Bourgeous spider. Too much Chihuly, but he hangs out in PS, so I guess it has to be that way. There is also a bronze horse by a Bozeman artist that is quite phenomenal. The whole museum is very well-curated. More

A really great place to spend a few hours enjoying the current local art talent and from those artists of long ago. Just a couple blocks from downtown, it is a beautiful location and the changing art makes it a spot to revisit time and time again. More

The building itself is beautiful and fits in well with the desert setting. The exhibits are laid out in clear , well lit settings. It is mostly modern art, with a nice collection of Native American art- ancient to modern. I will go here again. More

Several visits to the Palm Springs Art Museum have convinced me that smaller is better. This museum has an excellent and varied collection which one can leisurely visit in a day. Great special programs and a lovely sculpture garde. A great way to spend the day. More
