I love having a sweet place like this that indicates that the city cares about its community and its history. It's relaxing. The food at Le Dolce Vita is good.

Heritage Square is set in down town Oxnard. It is made up of old Oxnard homes that were moved to maintain the history of Oxnard. Oxnard was formed around farming and the sugar beet factory that brought in farmers, factory worker and business to meet their buying needs. Docents give the history and back ground of the core homes on... More

It is worth walking around and seeing the historic buildings on this square. Amazing someone had foresight to move the homes and church to the spot.

Enjoyed seeing the old houses and reading the placards about their histories. A little difficult to find as we parked a few blocks away.

Large victorian houses from the area were moved to this block and are well maintained. Most are offices but a couple are restaurants and one playhouse. Good for an hour of looking. Near downtown. Some good restaurants nearby like Sugar Beets. Close to movie theaters.

Walked down to heritage square on Sunday afternoon. Nothing going on unless you like looking at a few houses. Maybe it was due to the fact it was Sunday but would not waste my time.

It's located in downtown Oxnard. If you happen to be passing by stop and take a look and read about the old buildings. It's nice and clean(unlike the area surrounding it) and you can see a lot of hummingbirds. All the buildings are businesses so you really can't go look inside unless you have something to do there. This was a difficult place to find. After driving around in circles, we found the square. Not much was happening. Everything closed on a Monday afternoon. beautifully restored buildings worth a few pictures, but not much else.
