the access, just off the restaurant (used to be 'ChartHouse') is just rough enough to keep out the 'riffraff'. Unlike Pacifica's longer and more litter-strewn beach, Montara State Beach is free and gives you enough of a feel of the ocean with lovely coastal views from its entire length.
