We were so astounded by the views of Los Angeles and the unusual landscaping features and grounds at "The Getty" that we had to keep each other on track to ensure we had plenty of time to view the treasures within. Needless to say, the paintings, sculptures and antiquities were all magnificent. We have toured so many museums throughout the... More

You can go to the Getty just to look at the architecture, which is amazing. You can go and look at just the gardens, which are gorgeous. Then there is the art! The scope of the art is overwhelming, so just take in what you can, for the time you choose to spend there. We enjoyed lunch at the Garden... More

The tram ride up to the Getty atop a mountain is just the beginning of a wonderful destination. The architectural design of the Getty is a marvel, and this is witnessed as soon as you step off of the tram. The art inside the walls of the buildings is spectacular. Upon exiting the museum doors, the scenic views will stop... More

I've been visiting the Getty Center every year for the past three years. Wonderful place to be at and the best part was that entrance is free. All you have to do is pay for parking which was about $20. There are certain parts of the Getty that they change up year-round and certain parts that they keep. Activities room... More

I knew nothing about this place, you park the car at the base of the hill and take a tram to the top. You could spend days going through the collection and garden The Guides extremly sound if you wish you can take your own sandwiches but the restraunt is excellent, a lot of walking, so pace yourself a very... Incredible architecture with amazing views of the city. The exhibitions were great but it was the setting that blew me away.

Several hours or an entire day at the getting is one of the best ways you can spend time in LA. For just $15 for parking, the entire museum, the gardens, and good restaurants are open to you. I'm not someone who understands art, but there is so much to see here and it's so well laid out, one can't... More

This is one of the best places anyone in Los Angeles should put on their list of places to see. As a local, I come here quite often. The place is free to get in, parking is the only thing you pay for but take the bus and its much easier. I like to come here around 3pm and stay... More

We always eat here when we visit the Getty Center several times a year. Prepared items to grab and go, or go to the various food stations and get burgers, soups, salad, sandwiches and other foods that are pretty good for the price. Grab a table by the window and enjoy the great view.
