If you're looking for something different for people from out of town to do, this might be a good choice. Easy to get to , it's a nice spot to spend an hour or two. Incredible views of the coastline, as other reviewers said, you can watch parasailing & hang gliders take off and land. There is a little counter... More

I don't think you can see this anywhere else in the world. The prevailing winds off the Pacific Ocean, and the bluffs several hundred feet above the shore, combine to make this the perfect spot for hang gliders to just soar and soar and soar. Parking is free; viewing is free. There is a grill available, if you want some... More

Watch these folks dive off the cliffs in their gliders, and then soar back and forth. You'll spend 2 or more hours captivated.

You can learn to fly or just sit and watch others fly along the ocean in this fantastic venue and it's free to just watch. Bring a picnic lunch or buy food at the funky cafe.

I was there as an observer and watched the gliders take off and sore about on the currents. I was on the edge of the cliffs so my perspective was great as they dipped and dove overhead. Take some time to visit. It is well worth it.

I had an awesome time soaring above the beautiful cliffs of Torrey Pines overlooking La Jolla Shores and Black's Beach, TP State Reserve and TP Golf Course. We had some pelicans and red-tail hawks soaring close by! It's very peaceful up there as there is no engine and only the conversation between you and your pilot. A friend of mine... More

Great place to come and enjoy the view and watch the hang / para gliders launch from the cliffs. There is a little food area where sandwiches and the like can be bought. Just down the hill you'll find San Diego's one and only nude beach - Blacks Beach.

You have to go see this spectacular site. There is an actual takeoff and landing spot and these folks know what they are doing. They can glide above the cliffs for hundreds of yards in either direction and go close to Torrey Pines Gold Course. As they are gliding they are over the beaches way below. Wish we could have...
