What a beautiful course! The views are spectacular! Always a great place for a round of golf! Don't pass the grille up either - great cheeseburgers after golf!

Although not as famous, Torrey Pines is a fantastic venue with spectacular ocean views from many holes. When the course was redone for the U.S. Open a few years ago it was brought up to its present top condition. The South Course is too tough for me these days, but I still enjoy the North from the old guys tees.

This is one of the most beautiful golf courses in San Diego. The condition of fairway and green is very good as well. This is a long golf course but also has wide fairway, so those who have long distance shots may have advantage. The total length of south course is a bit longer than that of north course. However,... We were able to walk on the south course at 3:20pm on a Tuesday....and were able to finish 18, just! The sun set as we finished the par 3 on hole 16...spectacular...Many of the greens are well bunkered with narrow approaches :-) The scenery is beautiful ... ladies' yardage is longer than usual, 5500 yds on the south and 5800... The south is better & harder to play than the North course. It costs less than most golf course overlooking the Pacific Ocean--Kapalua Plantation, The Challenge on Lanai, Pebble Beach, etc... It's hard to believe that it's a municipal course....not private!

I would definitely recommend calling the course beforehand to find out what the conditions are, if they punched the greens, etc...This place is not cheap for out of towners, especially after the 2008 US Open. It is a municipal GC so it can be heavily played and it has city employees. It can take quite a while to play here... More

I am lucky as a resident of San Diego to be able to play at the course. In the past 10 years the price to play here has skyrocketed, due to US Open being played here, being an annual PGA tour event during the early part of the year in the West Coast Swing. As an out of towner you... More
