This place is really pretty. We actually had our wedding at the Miller Canyon Group Camp. It is a great place for water activities, hiking, and picnics.

I went to Silverwood Lake for a birthday party, it was a lot of fun. There is a lake you can swim, and on the other side you can ride your boats. I wished there was more picnic and recreational areas, but it is fun in the great outdoors.
Near my home in the mountains and closer than going to the beach. They used to offer boat rentals, but unfortunately that is not the case anymore. Go early to avoid the crowds.
My family and I came here on a hot August weekend with several families. We found the campgrounds fairly easily and my husband commented that it was cleaner than the Indian Reservation campgrounds last year. We found our spot but didn't really like that our "neighbor" was so close to us...didn't feel like we had much privacy. I did like...

Rangers nowhere in sight while everyone's partying all night (very loud campground) but they are out in force at 7:00am on the loudest quads I've ever heard. One of them sat right outside my trailer idling for 5-10min. All three days! Water was horrendous. It is so overgrown with algae it actually has a green film on it and smells...

I've been here twice, my husband on the other hand has been here many many times growing up at least once a year usually more. We go to the north side beach usually. There are lots of BBQ's and pinic tables scattered every where. Nice grassy areas are less common so they do go first but there still are a...

If you go do not be sucked in by the MRHNA association. They will take your money and then you will never hear from them again. They state they want new members, and volentiers but all they want is your money. Do not give them money.
We love the park but can not believe the state would sanction a group...

Want to take a nice drive to the mountains to the lake, this is the place to go. Busy during the summer, a lot of boaters. Bring lots of suntain lotion. It gets hot!
This place is perfect for someone who has a boat or enjoys scenic views. The beach area, where people without boat go is not too impressive but will work on a non-holiday weekend. The camping facilities are average, normal bathrooms with dirty showers but what do you expect for a park/lake area. You can fish here but requires a state...
