Camped here on a Thursday night in April and the campground was pretty much empty. Maybe two other campers including the host? The location is fabulous. Close to town but still quiet. In the morning, I woke up and walked my dog on the mile long trail right from my campsite to the beach. Some of the sites are on... More

You can walk down to the beach (we did), hike along several paths, with or without dog (we did, without), or sit on one of many benches to look out over the ocean and the surf (we did that too.) One of the trails is handicap accessible.

Nice hike to the beach. Well worth the $7 to park inside rather than on the street. All trails eventually arrive at the beach

We take our coffee and read the paper at the little picnic table overlooking the water. Then hike around-very beautiful and relaxing and few people if you go early morning.

We take walks there at least twice a week. Paved path gets you close to the beach. Clean restrooms. Visitors Center (staffed by volunteers, when available) is open Friday-Monday, and has info on local history, flora, fauna and sea life.

The Surf Inn is charming, very clean and welcoming. It is managed by a wonderful couple named Mike and Heather. They love their work, Gualala and the ocean. This is evident in their warmth, cheerful energy and how well they treat you. If you love nature you will be thrilled. The beaches, river and state parks are breath taking! The... More

While in Gualala, we drove to the Gualala Point Regional Park. We parked the car and had a great walk along well maintained trails to the beach. We saw very few people - we did not stop at the Visitor Center. We enjoyed reading the plaques on the memorial benches throughout the park. We felt safe and we were delighted... More

Very nice trails and views. The trails go around the bluffs and some of the wind through the cypresses, which have some lovely cave like tunnels. Dogs were thrilled even though leashes are required. The volunteer at the visitors center was super friendly and very informative. He had lots of great suggestions (some are saved for future trips).

Great hiking trails. The visitor center which is staffed by volunteers was closed so we couldn't get information on how to get down to the beach! We walked all over and saw signs for beach access but couldn't find a way down. The walk was nice and the scenery was beautiful so it was all good.

bathrooms available. Access to the inlet area and the ocean side. Picked up some beautiful driftwood pieces that my dog ended up eating!
