This was a great little place to go for a run, you can also golf on the island and there are ton's of restaurants. I just ran a 5k here so I didn't eat but I would love to go back to explore some more.

Coronado Island offers great food, shopping and just walking. Be prepared to walk because after you park, you won't want to move your vehicle - for any reason. There is traffic to deal with in the center of the town. But, the island is great for lying by the ocean and listening to the waves. The water is cold in...

This island is gorgeous. It has great places to eat, relaxing hotels, and beautiful beaches. Looking forward to spending another weekend on Coronado Island soon.
My husband and I love Coronado Island! We just returned home yesterday from visiting! Make sure you lay out in front of The Del and go to eat lunch at Sheerwater or the Sun Deck. Make sure you go inside and get a treat from the bakery! The sand is soft and the weather is always nice here! Make sure...

I liked the view, I didn't like the traffic and noise. It's so crowded, but that's to be expected. Find off street parking, and put on your walking shoes. Some of the shops up and down Orange now are pretty well priced. Skip Starbucks and Panera and go to places like Villa Nueva and Claytons (walk up window too) and...

Beautiful island, very residential but without feeling isolated or boring. The main streets were hopping with small businesses, walkable areas, and attractively maintained public grounds.
Of the beaches we visited in San Diego, Coronado Shores was the most inviting for swimming. The water is shallow quite a bit out and the sand glistened with gold flecks. The boardwalk provided a...

My wife and I say we've stepped back to Mayberry. What a beautiful island. Friendly people. Laid back lifestyle. Wonderful restaurants and shops. We seriously can't say enough good about Coronado Island. If you haven't been, what are you waiting for? Get out there. We can't wait to go again!
Hotel del Coronado has its charm, but I didn't find it extraordinary in itself. The Hotel is okay, with its backyard opening on the beach. There are more beaches in San Diego so that wasn't a big deal for us.
What I really enjoyed was the way to Hotel Coronado. The awesome bridge, plus the view of downtown was simply...

Coronado Island a gem. Great restaurants, beautiful ocean views and the great Hotel Del(a must to see). Great for walking and taking beautiful pictures.
Coronado Island is a must-see while in San Diego! You can rent bikes at the ferry landing & ride them across the island to the Hotel Del. There are nice bike paths all the way, and then you can ride through the neighborhood to the hotel (there are a couple of major roads to cross, but there are crosswalks). The...
