quiet and nice place, the only thing we did not like the people around the lake, called brahman. They asked for the donation - that is ok but they insist to tell the exact amount of money and type of currency . I could not agree with that. More

I suggest having a guide along. There are several "priests" along they way that are happy to pray with you and then set the price. More

I went down the ghats (take out your shoes!!!) and I realized the truly calm and tranquillity of the place...difficult to find in the rest of Rajasthan. You can walk around to the other side and feel the holiness of this unique place. Visit Brahma Temple. Also You can make pooja leaving a flower floats on the lake and express... More

The Lotus fell from the hand of God Brahma and the water came out from the land which was name as Pushkar. The ghats are quite need and clean but it needs regular cleaning at regular intervals of the day, cows are seen at the Gau Ghat dirting the place by urine and dung. More

Beautifully atmospheric lake and ghats, especially at sunrise and sunset. Can be very busy and noisy during the Mela when hundreds of people visit the ghats for puja. The music and drumming goes on most of the night during the festival. More

Lovely place - cleaner Ghats than Varanasi!!! Small square shape is pleasant though limited as to where you can take photos. Quiet in April, pleasant but NOT as photogenic again - as Varanasi. Nice to see and speak with locals. SEVERAL 'con-men' trying to get western women to 'float a flower on the ghats'.. for a money sting More

Dirty and a lot of priests that want you to spend money on buying flowers and the ribbon around your hand! They told us that if you already have a ribbon they dont disturb you, because they think you have already paid some of their colleagues. But there are hotel owners (like Sun and Moon) that can put you a... More
