The great rock paintings at Bhimbetka require some serious funding from UNESCO to be able to provide qualified guides on site. Currently the site has one guide, who was offsite when I visited this marvel. The two guards have to double up as guides, this is a real shame for all the people who miss out on the actual facts... more
This World Heritage site has very many prehistoric paintings in excellent condition. One should hire a guide at the site, since some of the best paintings are not easy to find. more
