A beautiful complex (http://sandytlam.com/travel/spiritual-rebirth/) that puts any restless soul to peace. Chanting, drumming, and the soft flowing of monks that brush by you. Many Tibetans dream of being able to come here so if you are lucky enough to visit McLeod Ganj, it's a must stop. The kora here is much longer than most places I've been to and quite... More

Very quiet and peaceful athmosphere make this temple a perfect meditation and practice place. Ususally it is used as a hall for His Holiness Dalai-Lama's teachings but in the other days it is always open and you may stay there praying and making coras.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama lives on the grounds here. People come to meditate and pray all day. Although they are serious about their religion, they are always happy to share a smile :) Be sure to keep all important figures or rooms on your right as you walk around. I just love the people and atmosphere here.
