A small version of Petra. Lovely and enchanting, Definitely a must to see. We saw it late afternoon and the lighting was perfect.

Pale rock gleamed in the early morning sun. Fine sand slipped under our feet. Ancient frescoes told of a wine press. Narrow ledges needed navigating but the hot tea proffered at the top as we sat to rest revived and refreshed as we gazed at the view. GO!

If you arrive early on day one of a two day trip, this is an excellent introduction to Petra, and an easy walk. We stopped here before checking into our hotel.

Make sure you visit this site before you go to Petra. It is a taster of what Petra is going to be. There is no point visiting it afterwards

Best to visit this before not after, petra. Spent 2 hrs with our party of 10 including 3 yr old son and 72 yr old grandma both able to do the easy scrambles and hike. Make sure you climb through the narrow siq to get to the to the top for views and picnic.. Bring a guide book or read... More

Entrance is free (for now), and much smaller. but it's very pretty including a sig, and treasury. I recommend to spend the 2 hours visit if you are in Petra area.

We visited Little Petra before "big" Petra & was pleasantly surprised by its isolated beauty & got more than expected. 1st of all the drive there was nice & the view from the road approaching the complex was lovely. Parking & entry was free when we visited in the evening. Little Petra served as the residential compound for those who... More

this place is much quieter than Petra (obviously). If you consider visiting it, make sure you do so before (not after) visiting Petra. my guide took me to what he called as the place with the best view on earth. It was a pretty good climbing and as I got there before the sunset, the view was majestic and it... More

This was so enjoyable- really could picture how the merchants lived and could climb up to at least one of the buildings. Definitely go!
