Colonia Tovar is a nice place but not soo special. There is many tiny and lovely stores and architecture worths to see.
And you can eat delicious sausages

The Cerveceria Tovar is a great part of the tradition of La Colonia Tovar, the German colonial town that surrounds it. It became Venezuela's first microbrewery in 1988 and now produces Cerveza Tovar, a brew that is very popular in local circles.

After working 80 hrs a week in this slave city it was a joy to drag yourelf here for the weekend. Never did do the beach much with my fair skin and the fact that the rest of Caracas went there in a Benny Hill like procession every fin de semana.
forget the brewery.
This was so peaceful!

it was so funny, we walked several blocks to take a guided tour and the first stop was the brewery right next to where we were staying (Cabanas Hessen). We did not even know it was there. It did not look like it was functional. There were the big steel vats but we did not see and raw materials or...
