Really great two day course here in Knoydart provided by Mark and Keith from Paddle Lochaber. Excellent instruction and equipment. Really top class and great fun had by all. Some of us went from terrified beginners to confidently paddling out around the headland to see fabulous views of Rum and Skye across the Sound of Sleat followed by lunch in... More

We had a great experience on the water with Mark, the equipment was good, the instruction professional and Mark was quickly on hand to help and encourage when any of our group needed it. Once we got out on the Loch, Marks' anecdotes and stories made the trip interesting and brought the history and geography of Glen Coe to life.... More

We had an absolutely fantastic afternoon with Mark who was patient, hilarious and made the whole experience really enjoyable. As a group of 3, we had an experienced paddler, an inbetweener and one who was totally petrified. Mark ensured that we all got loads out of the afternoon, and the reluctant paddler ended up having a really rewarding experience -... More

Real well run outfit with great equipment and Mark is a really easy guy to get along with. We had great fun even if the conditions were 'challenging'. I would recommend anyone to use Mark and we certainly will when we go back. More

I went on the BCU 3* training course with Mark in September. We had a small group, which was great, as Mark was able to give each of us a lot of time and advice. The whole course was very relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable - I will be booking up for more in 2012. More

Ours was a two-day training course as a preparation for the 3-star award, and we certainly received the high-quality instruction that we had hoped for. On the first day, despite frequent blustery showers, we covered various paddling and rescue techniques mostly in the shelter of the bay by Mark's premises. He is calm and reassuring, and lets you get on... More

For a half day introduction, the session struck a great balance between good tuition and setting the scene with some great local history. I'll certainly be back for more time on the water. More

Had a great afternoon kayaking around the loch. Having never kayaked before our instructor Mark run through the basics in the safety of the bay behind the hotel. Then out onto the loch. A great way to watch wildlife and to explore the shore lines around the loch and it's islands with stories and local history from Mark. A great... More
