Lovely tea shop in the village, castle with lots of still intact rooms and corridors - spiral staircase! Only a gift shop at teh castle so you need to get drinks elsewhere. More

My husband and I visit frequently and take family and friends for tea and scones [the cheese ones are delicious - a bit pricey but they are huge. We also have had lunch there and the home made food is lovely. More

We were a little disappointed in this castle. Lots of history here, but not very well displayed. It is privately owned, but managed by English Heritage. They did let us use our overseas heritage card, even though it wasn’t part of the program (but was not well marked as such). It had a great entry staircase that was original. Great... More

...a wonderful Norman castle, right on the edge of the Royal estate at Sandringham, with some of the keep intact so you can ascend the ceremonial stairs to a higher floor. From the curtain walls there are panoramic views across to The Wash and it doesn't take much imagination to see this wonderful castle, that I have known all my... More

Impressive castle over 800 years old and still in quite good condition. Nice photo opportunities and a lovely village surrounding it. Well worth an afternoon visit. Lets dogs come in to the site too, which is handy. More

It undoubtedly helped that we arrived on a warm , sunny February day. The lady in the ticket office was welcoming and helpful. We are planning to visit with friends later in the year. She advised us on a possible itinerary, where to find a good teasop in the village and said that we would be welcome to leave our... More

Anyone who is a fan of castles, flint, history and ghost stories should take a trip here! Its not in use anymore and a bit crumbly in places, but well worth a visit... excellent photo opportunity, great place to picnic, lovely to walk around on a sunny day. Wear good shoes, because the stairs are a bit hard to get... More
