All my life, I have loved all things related to outer space. However, I am still laughing at myself for paying fifteen bucks to see a not-even-huge hole in the ground. Consider, too, that I live in a city built inside a confirmed meteor crater (Middlesboro, KY), and it becomes even more comical that I paid to see this thing.... more

this is the most clear meteor impact on earth. Everyone needs to see it once. Admission is 15 bucks and you get a 1 hour tour plus lots of goodies to see.. Our guide was Eduardo and he was terrific. more

Fifteen bucks a person for Meteor Crater... twenty-five bucks per carload to get into the Grand Canyon. Can anyone say "price-gouging"? You can take a guided tour from the crater rim to the bottom for no additional charge once you get in, but for real... when you are on a road trip, who has that kind of time to waste?... more

Meteor Crater is a big round hole in the ground, which is pretty cool. Big round holes in the ground can be seen many places for free, and the coolest ones would be worth one, two, maybe even three dollars. Meteor crater, however, costs an astounding and insulting FIFTEEN DOLLARS EACH, which is really fourteen dollars too much. It is... more

Cost was $15/adults and $8/kids, so it was an expensive side trip. However, we all enjoyed the rim walking tour, mostly because of our knowledgeable, outstanding guide, Eduardo. The gift shop had some interesting, unusual items, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom near the Subway needs a little love. Overall, we were all glad that we stopped... more

My six year old daughter and I visited Meteor Crater on Saturday 7/18. Both of us really enjoyed it. We started off with the included movie, followed by the museum, and finally the crater itself. The size of the crater is amazing. I knew it would be large, but it's large enough that it's hard to get perspective. For instance,... more

This tourist trap is overpriced for what you get. Yes, the hole in the ground is impressive, however, the facility & buildings themselves are primitive for the price you pay, especially the restrooms. With three children aged 1 to 7, I thought it would also make a nice lunch stop since they have a Subway on the grounds. HOWEVER, the... more

It cost us $38 to see a hole in the desert. It's really something to see. I enjoyed the 15 minute movie about its history. But in the end, it was a waste of about $35! more

I was pretty impressed by this place. The crater itself is impressive, good gift shop. Staff are helpful and professional - I heard them explaining to some moronic woman who had come in flip-flops and expected to be let on the tour. It's not like they keep it a secret! As they explained, only 15% of guests go on the... more

We literally heard it from seen different employees, including two times by two different people. While its interesting to look at, the cost can quickly add up for a family. We made the mistake of going to the Grand Canyon first and then here. After looking at the Grand Canyon there is a big dropoff between here and there. The... more
