If you have a little time left, don't forget to visit Planes of Fame, a gem of an air museum in Valle. We just past by not knowing that it was such a well set up museum, lots of planes and accessories to admire! And Shelley was there to welcome us like VIPs. About 30 miles north of Williams, this small, but fine sister to the Chino museum, is well worth visiting. Whether driving to the Canyon or a quick side trip from Williams, if you enjoy aviation history, there is lots to see, including some exceptional WWII small personal pilot memorabilia displays. The feature plane on display is General MacArthur's private Lockheed... More

This aviation museum is on Az highway 64 on the way to the Grand Canyon. It's actually the overflow of aircraft from the Planes of Fame Museum in Southern California. First, all the airplanes inside are flyable and they have the airplanes maintained to great standards. The stuff outside is maintained as well , but not to such a high... More

The people who work at the museum were very friendly and the planes were fun to look at. I would recommend visiting here, if you are in the area or on the way to or from the Grand Canyon from Williams.

A little museum with some great vintage aircraft, and other vintage items. The great thing is that is cheap $6.00

Found this by chance. Expected to stay for an hour but actually stayed for four. Greeted by Shirley and given genuine advice about getting best from our visit. Larry (1) showed us around the Constellation whilst Larry (2) was a mine of imformation. Some amazing machines with very interesting histories. Great for a rear plane enthusiast.

We live near the Smithsonian air & space museums, so seeing and comparing that to other airplane museums just isn't fair. My sons love airplanes & this place had them. They both picked their favorites, had their pictures taken with them & we enjoyed our brief visit. Kids are $1.95 to get in - can't beat that (adults $6.95) -... More

This is a small museum. I am not an airplane buff. This has some nice photo ops though. The museum took me about 15 minutes. If your an airplane buff go if not take the photos from the outside there are statues and a plane or two.

This is a nice museum to visit if you are on your way somewhere else like we were (Grand Canyon). The displays are nicely laid out with items indoors and out. They also have some classic cars in a building separate from the airplanes. The caretakers are very welcoming and friendly. It was very cold the day we went and... More
