Our experience on the water could not have been better (excellent). Robert (our raft captain) did an outstanding job of making our trip exciting, informative and safe. The return bus trip to the Hualapai Lodge was less enjoyable (terrible). Despite temperatures in the 80-90's, the bus was not air conditioned and the bus windows could not be opened. The 2.5... More

What a blast! Don't get me wrong, it's rough! LOL! But that's the fun of it! At one point, I was only holding on with one hand! But the skill of the guide, steered the boat and scooped me up! LOL! SO MUCH FUN! The first half is the rapids and then it's smooth sailing. The waterfall is AMAZING and... More

We really wanted to see the Grand Canyon from the river but we didn't have a lot of time. This was definitely the way to go! My husband and I went with his parents and sister. I had been rafting in Costa Rica and his dad has been before as well. No one else had any experience and his mom... More

I thought a long time before writing this review--I went on this trip about a month ago. First of all, know that I'm a fairly experienced rafter and have dealt with many rafting companies and several rivers with varying levels of rapids. First the good--this trip is absolutely worth doing, in fact, it is wonderful. The rapids are not what... More

Awesome experience. They give you lunch and water. You meet up at a lodge - I recommend eating breakfast there or beforehand. They take you on a school bus down to the river (very bumpy ride). You get to know about the Indians in that area - great history information. The rafting ride is SO much fun - you really... More

We went April 2, 2012. The river was brown, dirt from a previous storm. We brought panchos, but they didn't help very much. We were muddy, cold, makeup washed off, the helicopter didn't run because of wind, so we had to spend another hour rafting down the river to catch the bus. But after reading all the reviews I knew... The rafting was very good, crazy rapids freezing water and hang on for your life, LOVED IT. Clint our boatman was great I have gone twice and had Clint as boatman both times. The safety orientation is pretty lame, you need to be smart and research what level of rapids you will encounter, dress with river shoes, not girlie sandals,... More

First of all don't expect 5 star rapids. If you want real rapids go to Colorado. The guides are only informative about certain areas of the Grand Canyon. If you want more info, ask them. They have a book about every little Grand Canyon detail that if they told you, you'd be annoyed. We went in July...yes, not a good... More

We had a wonderful Colorado River one-day raft trip July 19. However, two things dampened it. Our river guides, who were very skilled, gave us little information about the canyon, the river, and the Hualapei Indians who run the trips. It could have been far more educational. The worst of the day was the unfairness in the organization of the... More
