Even in the rain it was good to take the Beagle Channel cruise to see the sea lions, birds, and famous light house where the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans merge. Plus you get a great view of the town of Ushuaia without even being on an Antarctic cruise.

you take the ship and you just enjoy 2 to 3 hours.... of water inmensity, mountains, and the view of birds and antartic animals! If you can do it in the morning,.....

If you go to the tour company colony that dots the waterfront of Ushuaia, be prepared to be overwhelmed by all the brightly colored shacks. Each company has the rights to something unique, and everyone offers something just a little different. Tres Marias has the rights to H Island for a beautiful nature scene. Another company allows you to walk... More

We took a 5 hour boat trip on the beagle channel. It was great. We saw sea lions, including a big colony, where you get really close to. Pinguins and all kinds of other birds. And we were lucky to see 2 orcas feeding on a sea lion. We were really lucky as the captain who was sailing the channel... More

Lots of bird life and sea lions and fur lions but disappointed not to have seen a penguin. I guess it was out of season.

We took a lovely cruise through the Beagle Channel. The scenery was beautiful, with mountains rising up out of the water and the smooth turquoise water. It was probably one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen in my life.

The eastern half of this Channel separates Argentina and Chile in Southern Patagonia. The indigenous wildlife is abundant and varied; (includes penguins, sea lions, and cormorants). The remaining glaciers should be seen before they are all gone. You can take an all day cruise or a short 2-4 hour voyage. Tickets are available from numerous agencies in the booths on... More

Take a tour by boat or, as far as services are available, cross the Beagle channel to Navarino. It's a wonderful experience to enjoy this wonderful authentic place.

The main reason to visit Ushuaia is as a departure point for Antarctica, or to be able to say that you have been to the end of the world. It's in a stunning, harsh location, surrounded by the Andes and must be magnificent in the snowy season. However, there aren't a lot of other stunning sights. The Beagle Channel tour... More

Four of us left our cruise ship Celebrity Infinity on a bitterly cold day in March hoping to find a tour for a few hours. We walked to the end of the pier and turned right, where we found Patagonia Adventure / Explorer. We paid 300 ARS (about £38.50) each for a boat trip which lasted almost 4 hours. This... More
